We have been blown away by the enthusiasm shown by the Local Bike Shops and would love to remind everyone why local matters.

Omeo Ski Hire and Service Station, Omeo
Don’t be fooled by the name, this place is definitely bikes! Well, bikes + fuel + local chat all in one stop. A classic, essential Omeo experience and more knowledge to be found here than anywhere else in the town.
Plus, time it right and you meet Sam, Omeo’s favourite and most attractive resident. Yes, ok, he’s a dog.
Velo Grammont (Bikes. Rides.Coffee), Omeo
We love Velo Grammont because it’s pure Omeo energy — bikes, brilliant coffee, and Christophe, who somehow manages to fix your bike and improve your day at the same time.
Reach out to hire a bike from the Rocky Mountain hire fleet (full-suspension + e-bikes) or to get help with an issue with yours. And pick up a coffee while you’re there.

Belmont Bicycle Centre, Belmont
Belmont Bicycle Centre has that rare mix of big-shop capability and small‑shop enthusiasm - these guys love getting riders sorted and were only too happy to help us spread the Gravity Dirt Co word to their riders.
Professional 3D bike fitting, full bike set ups and service to get and keep you on the trails. Plus the full range of parts and accessories to assist with those ‘essential’ upgrades for when you just kinda want them.

We like Mallard Cycles because they have easy (it’s all relative!) access to us in Omeo. With a full Trek range + expert servicing, workshop and all the things you need to get you ready for a big ride.

bikeNOW, South Melbourne
We like bikeNOW because they’ve been supporting riders for over 35 years…and because they let Dan from Gravity Dirt Co work in the workshop (a brave but appreciated decision).
Some absolute legends run the workshop offering advanced diagnostics, suspension servicing and custom tuning. We know from personal experience there isn’t a creak they can’t locate.
Summit Cycles, Fitzroy
Summit Cycles is basically high‑performance MTB heaven and home of some of Australia’s most elite custom builds. It has to be on everyone’s wish list but maybe start with a service or upgrade while you work up to it.
MORNINGTON PENINSULA
Chain Brain, Dromana
We rate Chain Brain because it’s the unofficial pre‑ride pit stop for Red Hill - fast, friendly and always stocked with what riders actually need. Not to mention the shop is as beautiful as he bikes inside it.
Local expertise across Red Hill and Peninsula trails means you’ll have what you need for any ride whether it be your next bike or your kids first – an absolute gem of an example of a LBS.
Jetty Road Cycles, Rosebud
Jetty Road Cycles has all the LBS passion – it’s a shop where a ‘quick stop’ becomes a full bike refresh by a passionate, community‑minded team.
